Pointer size and theme#

In Dashboard → Cursor:

Size
Makes the real pointer bigger in every app. Default is the size macOS had before.
Theme
Apple's pointers, or Xeneric's own arrow and text pointer: sharp ones keep Apple's cut, the rest are a wide, tail-less modern pointer with soft corners. A few apps draw their own pointer and keep Apple's.

Xeneric puts the pointer's size and theme back when it quits. Some versions of macOS don't let Xeneric change the pointer; then use System Settings → Accessibility → Display → Pointer.

Halo and click rings#

Halo
A soft ring that follows the pointer, so it's easy to find and to follow in recordings. Light or dark, and its size.
Click rings
A ring pulses where you click: light for left clicks, grey for right clicks.

Effects are drawn over the screen, so they show in screen recordings and screen shares; clicks go straight through.

Spotlight#

⌥⇧L dims the screen except a circle around the pointer, to point things out on a call or in a demo. Esc turns it off. Set the circle size and how dark the rest gets in Dashboard → Cursor. See also Lens and spotlight.
