Keyboard shortcuts
Every Xeneric keyboard shortcut in one table: global shortcuts, the Xeneric bar, Draw, Lens and the terminal.
All shortcuts#
The global shortcuts work in any app and can be changed. The rest work while that part of Xeneric is open and are fixed.

Change a shortcut#
Open Dashboard → Shortcuts
Every global shortcut is listed with its keys.Click the pencil next to one
The row says “Press new keys…”.Press the new combination
It needs a modifier (⌘, ⌃ or ⌥), or a function key on its own, so plain typing never becomes a shortcut. Changes apply right away. Reset on a changed row goes back to its default.
When a shortcut doesn't work#
- “Taken by another app — pick other keys.” Another app registered that combination first. Choose different keys, or change the other app's shortcut.
- “Already used by another Xeneric shortcut.” Two Xeneric actions can't share keys.
