Meet your pet#

Blu, Petal, Pinky, Archie and Chatty: Apptivly's mascots, made for Xeneric. Pick one in Dashboard → Pet. Your pet lives at the bottom of your screen or perches on your windows, comments on what's running in your terminal, and naps when you're away.

Drag it anywhere; it lands on windows or the bottom of the screen.
Double-click to ask Xeneric. Right-click for its menu.
Drop files on it to open the Files circle.

Connect Claude Code#

Connect → Claude Code adds Xeneric hooks to ~/.claude/settings.json, so Xeneric sees every Claude Code session: prompts, tools, approvals, done. Your pet then tells you what Claude is doing, when it needs you and when it's finished.

Pet settings#

Show pet: A little friend on the bottom of your screen.
Wander around: Walks along the bottom of the screen now and then.
Talk: Comments on what's running in your terminal, and says hi when clicked.
Break reminders: After about 50 busy minutes, suggests water or a stretch.
