FAQ
Answers to common questions about Xeneric's trial, plans, prices, refunds, Macs and updates.
Questions#
How does the free trial work?
Every new account gets 7 days of full Xeneric, free, with no card needed. Sign in on your Mac and the trial starts. After the trial it's ₹199/month or ₹1,999/year; if you don't subscribe, Xeneric simply stops working until you do.
What plans are there?
Two: Monthly at ₹199 a month, or Yearly at ₹1,999 a year (2 months free). Both unlock every feature on all your personal Macs, and you can cancel renewal anytime.
Is there a price for India?
Yes. In India, Xeneric is ₹199/month or ₹1,999/year, plus 18% GST: ₹199 + 18% GST = ₹234.82 a month, or ₹1,999 + 18% GST = ₹2,358.82 a year. You pay through Razorpay by card or UPI, and the subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Everywhere else it's priced in US dollars, and checkout outside India is coming soon. Use the currency switch above the plans to see either.
How many personal Macs can I install Xeneric on?
One subscription covers every personal Mac machine you personally own and use.
How are my API keys stored?
Directly in your hardware-encrypted Apple Keychain under the com.techsolace.xeneric service identifier. Xeneric never sends your keys to intermediate proxies; they communicate straight to OpenAI or Anthropic endpoints over TLS.
Are updates included?
Yes. Every update, performance improvement, and new feature is included while you're subscribed. Cancel anytime.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Your first payment comes with a 7-day money-back guarantee: email [email protected] within 7 days and we refund it in full, no questions asked. Renewals aren't refunded, but you can cancel anytime before your next renewal and keep access until the period ends. The details are in our Refund Policy.
