Files circle and shelf
Convert, zip and share the files selected in Finder from a radial menu (⌥⇧F), or hold them on the notch's shelf.
The Files circle#
Select files in Finder and press ⌥⇧F. A radial menu opens around your mouse: convert, zip, share or copy a path without opening another app. You can also right-click files in Finder and choose Convert or Share with Xeneric, drop files on the circle or on your pet, or drag them up to the notch. Drag the result from the middle of the circle straight into any app.
Convert#
Images, PDFs, documents, audio and video, converted with the tools your Mac already has. Install ffmpeg for extra formats (Dashboard → Files → Extra formats). New files go next to the original, or to Downloads if you choose so in Save converted files.
Share#
Share to WhatsApp, Telegram, AirDrop, Messages or Mail, or open the full macOS share sheet. Choose which targets appear in Dashboard → Files → Share to.
The drop shelf#
Drag files anywhere and the notch opens: hold them on the shelf, convert, share, edit one image, or AirDrop. Details in Notch → The drop shelf.

- Which share targets the circle shows.
- Save converted files
- Next to the original, or in Downloads.
- Extra formats (ffmpeg)
- More audio and video formats when ffmpeg is installed.
- Drop shelf while dragging files
- Open the notch's drop zones when you drag files.
- Keep shelf after restart
- Remember which files are held.
- Clear shelf
- Forget every held file.
